Voyager Search is happy to announce the release of our latest version of Vose and updates to Voyager Server. This release includes:

Major New Features:

Improvements to on-demand thumbnail generation

The on-demand thumbnail generation feature from Voyager Server is now included in Voyager HQ. This is especially useful for large imagery data, where thumbnail generation takes a while.

Ability to store raw, un-generalized geometries in meta folder

Allows users to preserve a copy of the full geometry before generalization takes place when indexing documents. The output is a JSON file, which admin users can retrieve for display in a UI or for additional processing.

Updates to format categorization

This involves categorization of some previously uncategorized file forms.

Updates made to the way Location names get displayed; now displays location names, not location IDs

Bug Fixes Include:

Server

CPU spikes when Server is otherwise idle
Certain errors when indexing shapefiles
Placefinder incorrectly adding a “.00” when using number values for placefinder searches
Heatmap settings not persisting when using Saved Searches
Full geometries from Geo field not loading when importing snapshots
Case sensitivity not applying when using the Query Synonyms feature
Server S3 locations not listing full paths correctly
Issue with Remote Agents not syncing with HQ if Server is run through IIS

Errors generating thumbnails for layer files
Incomplete thumbnail generation for MXD files
